UK Technical Manager,
Matt is the UK Technical Manager for Trescal. He covers all of the UK and works with other technical managers worldwide. He and his team are responsible for maintaining and developing all technical services, plus monitoring and improving their capability.
He started his career as a calibration and repair apprentice nearly 30 years ago and has worked in a variety of roles throughout the business including sales and branch manager.
He has professional qualifications in H&S and management as well as Electronic engineering, Matt likes problem solving, whether it be repairing defective electronic equipment (which was why he started as an apprentice) or proving a solution to a customer’s calibration requirements.
He took on the role within the technical team to make a difference and deliver some of the solutions that as an engineer he had wanted for many years.
Matt was given the opportunity to join the BMTA council when a colleague stepped down. As Trescal is the largest provider of calibration services he can share his industry experience and knowledge gained not just from the UK but from the worldwide Trescal activities.
