EUROLAB is holding an online workshop – Safety of Sustainable Food Packaging – state of the art and needs for contaminant assessment as part of its 23IND13 ScreenFood Project.
The event, which will take place on 12 February, from 10-12.30 CET, aims to bring together various stakeholders from different industries, including food packaging manufacturers, national metrology institutes, ScreenFood Project representatives and researchers. Speakers from European institutions, industry and organisations will discuss current and future analytical needs, challenges and perspectives for ensuring the safety of packaging materials, with a focus on sustainable solutions.
The event will feature presentations from several experts in the field, including Andrea M. Rossi (EMN Food chair), who will open the workshop with an introduction to EMN Food, Stefanka-Petkova Bratinova (EC-JRC EURL FCM), who will discuss challenges in harmonising migration test procedures, and Eylül Bankoglu (German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment), who will address risk assessment of NIAS from food contact materials.
The workshop, which will conclude with a discussion session moderated by Andrea Mario Rossi, will be held online via Google Meet.
