The Department for Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS) has announced that it will extend the implementation deadline for goods to be marked with a UKCA product safety mark for a further 12 months. This means that all sectors, apart from medical devices (which has until 30 June 2023), now have until 1 January 2023 to get ready to use the UKCA mark.

It is with sadness that we announce the death of Dr Patrick Finlay on 2 June 2021. Patrick was an entrepreneur with a PhD in automation. He founded Europe’s first medical robotics company in 1991.
