The Brexit transition period formally ended on 31st December 2020 meaning that European Union legislation no longer applies to the United Kingdom (UK), so in this respect it is no longer bound by Regulation (EC) No 765/2008 setting out the requirements for accreditation in the European Union (EU) nor by Regulation (EU) 2019/515 on the mutual recognition of goods.
It is with deep regret that we pay our respects to Phil Carter who died recently due to Covid19. Phil had worked with UKAS for over 25 years and for several before that with NAMAS. Many of our accredited members will have known Phil for his work as Technical Assessor.

The industry led consortium is in the process of defining the business case and delivery model. Following a successful exploratory webinar in September, AMPI is holding an online workshop on 5th November to explore this model.
