Make UK, the Manufacturer’s Organisation, has a partnership arrangement with BMTA members. Set up to offer practical support and industry insight, Make UK are currently offering BMTA members a free 30 minute consultation on Employment, Law and Immigration.

The Advanced Machinery & Productivity Institute (AMPI) is an industry led initiative to drive innovation for the UK’s advanced machinery manufacturers to meet the challenges of developing new technology and entering emerging markets.

The industry led consortium is in the process of defining the business case and delivery model. Following a successful exploratory webinar in September, AMPI is holding an online workshop on 5th November to explore this model.

The Goods Regulation Team, BEIS, have updated their guidance published on GOV.UK regarding the UK domestic regime for manufactured goods. This comes into force on 1 January 2021.

The BMTA is conducting a survey to discover the issues our members are facing regarding employment and the impact the Covid-19 pandemic has had on your business.

UKAS is currently in the process of reviewing the membership and terms of reference for their Asbestos technical advisory committee (TAC). BMTA members with an interest in the asbestos sector are invited to nominate a BMTA representative to join the committee.

The BMTA is a nominating body for the BSI committee and there are a number of committee vacancies for which we are currently recruiting.
