The BMTA Annual General Meeting on Tuesday, 22 October 2024, marked an exciting step forward for our association. We’re pleased to announce that the following members were elected to the BMTA Council:

In addition, Jeff Llewellyn, Steven Owen, and Matt Gypps were elected as President, Chair, and Vice Chair, respectively.
Following the AGM, the Council approved a 12-month trial new operating structure designed to enhance member engagement and leverage our resources to more effectively support and build the BMTA community.
This new approach aims to deepen member engagement and maximise the value of our collective resources, in order that BMTA is better placed to respond to new opportunities and the developing needs of the industry. By aligning our operations with today’s priorities, we’re aiming to develop more opportunities for members to contribute, connect, and drive meaningful change within the association.
Three new sub-committees will support this structure:
– Management Committee, led by Steve Owen
– Marketing and Member Engagement Committee, led by Jake Bishop
– Policy and External Affairs Committee, led by Paul Greenwood
Steven Owen, (Chair of the BMTA Council) said, “We want to encourage BMTA members to actively participate in shaping this new direction by sharing their insights, concerns, and challenges. Their feedback will be invaluable in helping us develop the support they need to be successful both now and into the future.”
Jeff Llewellyn (BMTA President) added, “It is vital that members feel able to engage with the Association easily and directly on the issues that matter to them and I am confident that the new operating structure will allow this to happen.”
