EUROLAB and UNIDO have announced a series of seminars between September and November 2025 under the UNIDO Global Quality and Standards Programme (GQSP).
The first EUROLAB-UNIDO webinar, Rethinking Sustainability: Ensuring the long-term viability of laboratories, will take place online on 30 September 2025 (14:00-16:00 CEST). It’s free to attend.
This joint initiative between UNIDO and Switzerland’s State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) looks to boost national quality infrastructure systems and standards compliance to support sustainable trade, inclusive growth and SME market access.
The GQSP helps industries to become more competitive through strengthened compliance capacity with quality and standards, facilitating market access for SMEs and enhancing their integration into value chains.
This two-hour webinar will introduce sustainability as a condition for the viability, competitiveness and resilience of laboratories, placing emphasis on how sustainable practices ensure efficiency, continuity of operations, and the capacity to adapt to economic and regulatory challenges. It’s a good general introduction to sustainability for laboratory professionals and it is designed to provide basic knowledge, stimulate reflection and create awareness about how laboratory activities intersect with global sustainability challenges and opportunities.
